IEnMP announces a new certificate called “50001 EnMS Practitioner in Training” for individuals who meet specific educational requirements, but do not meet the experieince eligibility requirements for the 50001 CP EnMS certification.

The purpose of the 50001 EnMS Practitioner in Training credential is to provide an early-career recognition for expertise in ISO 50001 energy management systems based on evidence of successful completion of a Department of Energy (DOE) 50001 CP EnMS course with knowledge checks (online or classroom).

Qualifying as a 50001 EnMS Practitioner in Training would provide market distinction and reduce by one year the qualifying work experience required for 50001 Certified Practitioner in Energy Management Systems (CP EnMS). This is referred to as the CP EnMS work experience credit.

The details on this new certificate are detailed here.
